Barbados overview

Barbados became known as 'Little England' and is still an ideal destination for the first time visitor to the Caribbean. Barbados has a rich colonial history evident in its place names and has retained some of our old fashioned traditions, such as afternoon tea! Barbados' attractions are many and varied. Venture inland to discover the countryside with its fields of sugar cane, rolling hills and pretty countryside scenery. The south coast of Barbados is home to beautiful wide beaches, perfect for boogie boarding and windsurfing due to the prevailing winds. St Lawrence Gap is here, the centre for lively nightlife. Further along the coast, the west coast (also known as the Platinum Coast), is the location for many exclusive hotels such as Sandy Lane, home to the rich and famous! For a different aspect of Barbados, venture over to the East coast which faces the Atlantic for huge crashing waves, this is the most undeveloped area of Barbados. The people are friendly, the weather is perfect, it's no wonder Barbados is our most popular Caribbean island.
